The winter holiday season is a big tradition in our family. This is the time I get to really spend some time with my children during their winter break. The kids are always really excited when their break begins; however, when they have to go back to school it can be a difficult process. I have to prepare the children physically, mentally, and emotionally to return to school from their winter break. I have to make sure that they are starting their original bedtimes that they had before their mini-vacation began. This was very challenging because they wanted to play with their gifts all night. So, I had to program their minds and bodies to go to bed at a decent hour once again. In addition, my children was spending so much time with their cousins from out of town, that I had to cheer them up when our family had to go back to their homes. Furthermore, I had to prepare my own mind to getting up before everyone else, making breakfast, preparing lunch, and get everyone dressed for school within a certain time frame. Even more so, we all had to get back into the routine of everything. We try not to forget to turn off all electrical items, and to remember to turn on the home security alarm (specials adt Auburn) before we leave every day. I must admit that I am truly exhausted just thinking about how I had to prepare my little ones to return to school.
